OUR STORY
Auston and Audrey Christopher
We met in 2014 at NASCAR and got married at a historic barn in Maryland in 2017. When Auston got out of the Navy, we knew we wanted to move to a farm. After a year of looking, we purchased the land and farmhouse in 2019 from the original owners. The farm was previously home to a small beef cattle operation until the 1990s. We renovated the farmhouse completely on our own and are now focusing on the land. We started our goat herd in 2020, began hosting Farm Experiences in 2021, and added pigs to the farm in 2022.
Audrey Christopher has a MAgr in Agricultural Sciences, Grad Cert in Sustainable Agriculture, and a BS in Animal Care and Management. Audrey manages the business operation and livestock portion of the farm.
Auston Christopher is a Navy veteran with a BS in Nuclear Engineering. Auston is the brains behind all the designing and building that happens on the farm.
MISSION & ASPIRATIONS
Healthy land produces healthy, happy animals. Our mission at Christopher’s Overlook is to weave sustainable practices into our everyday decisions. We hope our actions will inspire others to explore ways they can incorporate sustainability into their daily lives. Christopher’s Overlook creates a harmonious relationship between its livestock, landscape, and natural resources. As courageous stewards of the environment, we aspire to provide an educational atmosphere where the community can experience and learn about agriculture.
